A Letter from the Spiritual Life Chairman

December 2011

Dear Spiritual Life Chairman,

Happy New Year to you from your Spiritual Life Chairman. I pray your church will seek to promote the Spiritual Life Enrichment of our ARP Women, helping to make them stronger in their Spiritual Journey. Two of our primary emphases are Prayer and Bible Study. Our study on David will be most interesting and uplifting. I encourage you to have a prayer chain to inform your members of important happenings among one another. Communication among church members is very important. Be sure to promote Prayer Emphasis in January. You can adjust your schedule to do this three day Emphasis. This is found in your November ARP magazine.

I encourage you to promote mentoring programs and retreats. Reach out to the ladies that do not come to your Women’s Ministries. Have a luncheon especially for them. Enlist the Minister’s help. Sometimes he can come up with good ideas for outreach. God will guide you when you ask for His help. Pray for churches that do not have a Women’s Ministry or churches that do not have all positions filled.

I know many of the larger churches have several circles and do interesting events. I would like to hear from you so I can pass your ideas to other churches.

Philippians 4:6 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God.”

God Bless each of you in His Ministry.

A Servant for God,

Rachel Spencer

End of Year Note for Historians

As the end of the year approaches, please be aware that your two copies of the 2011 history are due to me by February 15.
I have been reminded that bulletins and newsletters are an excellent resource to use as you compile events and other important happenings in the life of the church during the past year.
God bless each of you and thank you for your work in His Service.
