Christ Coastal Church, Southport, NC

Rev. Walt and Val Shepard waltshepard@gmail.com
Pray
We had the sad experience of seeing yet another couple leave the church plant core group—too much work, they said, and they want “a real church building to come to–not a living room!” We are not near the renting a facility stage, and yet we are asking the Lord for a musician and a facility that would work with us as we grow and are able to pay more rent.
The musician I had set my heart on is being considered by a local church in the area. It would be great to have him available to help us, if the other church would bring him down here. We shall see.
We have redoubled our efforts at reaching our neighborhood. How can I talk about a church plant without seriously making every effort at reaching my neighborhood?
Pray with us as we are asking the Lord to help me with my strength after a shift at work with my security job. The heat is getting to me these days.
Praise
While one couple left, the Lord has given us a brand new couple with missionary/servant hearts. The Lord has also arranged for us to meet another couple with some vision who long to join us when the husband retires next year. They are offering us some expertise to develop a website.

Grace Community Church, Black Creek, NC

Rev. Randy and Sally Jenkins jenkinseleven@gmail.com
Praise
God has provided abundantly during our building construction. We have been blessed with workers both within the church and from the community. Most, if not all, have either volunteered their time or worked for a fraction of the normal pay rate.
Praise God for pulpit furniture and a piano that have been donated by a sister church.
Two new couples and another gentleman have been worshipping with us for a couple of months now. And our list is growing of individuals who want to be notified of our first service in our new building.
Pray
Please pray for outreach efforts in the Black Creek community. And pray for the Holy Spirit’s working and leading.
Also, please pray for our follow-up with visitors, that it will be fruitful; and that many would come to know the Savior.
Pray for God’s timing on the final touches to the building and the date of our first worship service. Also, for guidance in setting the date for our building dedication service.
May people see the love of Christ in us, and may He receive all the glory.
